Site is interdisciplinary, allowing users to search in English or German according to the categories of: Engineering and Physical Sciences, Life Sciences, Economics and Social Sciences, and Humanities and Area Studies. Site is sponsored by the BMBF (Federal Ministry for Education and Research) and the DFG (Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft), the two most significant sponsors of public information infrastructure in Germany.
