Rāmopākhyānam

Description:

Once, amid the exile of the Pāṇḍavas, Draupadī was abducted by Jayadratha. She was brought back after having fought with Jayadratha and his army. They went to the sage Mārkaṇḍeya and mentioned the pain to him. Then, the sage narrated Rāma, Sītā, and Lakṣmaṇa's exile to Yudhiṣṭhira. While living in that forest, Sītā was abducted by the ten-headed demon Rāvaṇa. This is the story of Śrī Rāma's unparalleled deeds as told in the great epic of Mahābhārata by the seer Vedavyāsa.
