"Lispector's personal items were donated by one of her sons to the Casa de Rui Barbosa in Rio de Janeiro. Publication is an inventory of those donations, listing books previously owned by the author as well as letters received from prominent literary figures of Brazil during her lifetime. Also included are newspaper articles on her work, which she personally collected. Other miscellaneous items such as theater tickets, cancelled checks, menus of some restaurants abroad, and rental receipts are also part of her legacy, and help us to imagine other dimensions of her persona"--Handbook of Latin American Studies, v. 58.
