Description:
Crosby Gaige was a noted wit who gained fame as a Broadway producer and gourmand. After college, Gaige started working as a play agent. Eventually, he started to finance the plays himself. This work serves as his memoir of his life in the theater and the kitchen. He is a fine writer, with a light touch. However, most of the plays he discusses are so long in the tooth I've never heard of them. Other than *Stella Dallas*, few of the hits he handled are classics. Along with producing plays, Gaige was a very well known lover of cocktails and good food. This work includes a few recipes. If you want all his cocktail stuff see his *Crosby Gaige's Cocktail Guide and Ladies Companion.*
