The commissioners appointed by the General Court, to state the demands of this state, against the United States, find themselves under the necessity of calling upon the several towns and places in this state, to forward all vouchers and documents they may have it in their power to procure, to support the claim of New-Hampshire against the United States, for monies paid as a hire or bounty by towns, classes or individuals, to procure the soldiers, who served in the militia and Continental Army, in the course of the war. ..
