Description:

"An outstanding work, bringing together views of California cities, towns, and mining camps in the decade following the gold discovery. Six of the views show towns in Nevada, Oregon, and Washington. Carlisle & Company, the successors to the prolific San Francisco printing firm of Britton & Rey, who were responsible for many of the originals depicted herein"--
