Whereas the General Assembly of this state, at their session at Hartford, in May last, resolved, that an embargo be forthwith laid upon the exportation out of this state ... of the following articles ... I do therefore ... issue this proclamation, hereby notifying all persons, that such embargo is laid, and requiring them to comply therewith. ... Given under my hand at Lebanon, in said state, this 19th day of June, Anno Domini, one thousand seven hundred and seventy eight.
