At a town-council holden in and for the town of Providence, this second day of August, A.D. 1799.

It is voted and resolved, that three hundred copies of the first five sections of the act, entitled, "An act to prevent the spreading of the small-pox, and other contagious sickness in this state," be printed, and that all vessels coming from foreign ports, or from places where infectious diseases are prevalent, shall be immediately furnished, with one of said copies ..
