The Committee has been asked to examine the Supreme Court of Canada appointments process and to develop proposals to render the process more credible, especially through an appropriate role played by parliamentarians. This report presents the Committee's short- and long-term proposals for improving the process. It also contains dissenting opinions from the Conservative Party of Canada, the Bloc Quebecois and the New Democratic Party.
