Joshua Pryor settled in rural Washington County, Ohio in the middle of the 19th century. He married twice, to Cynthia Parr, and to Maria Amy Carle, and fathered 18 children. Joshua is descended from John Prior and Margaret Garvin of Belmont County, Ohio.
