Public health response to biological and chemical weapons

Description:

Update of the WHO 1970 report on the health aspects of chemical and biological weapons. The report is intended to provide guidance to member states on public health preparations for responding to the deliberate use of biological and chemical agents to cause harm. Six chapters consider the ways such agents may endanger public health, use standard principles of risk management to outline steps towards preparation, discuss the role of domestic and international law in preparedness planning, and identify available sources of international assistance.
