Description:

This is the third in a series of five "Story of Atari" books with read-along audio recordings, each book has black and white illustrations on each page, as well as the text of the story. This is a story book that tells of a Yar warrior, who is from a race of flies. At the beginning this Yar, named Lotar at the end of the story, is standing on a platform and begins thinking back to a time when a war had started. The Planet IV was attacked and destroyed by the evil Qotile. He tells how he and a friend Kral enlisted in the 'Yar Defense Force', his friend is rejected, as he goes on to training. Secretly the friend trains on his own, and eventually joins the books narrator in the fight. However the friend dies while destroying the enemies base. The narrator, after remembering this on the platform, unveils a war memorial, a statue of his friend Kral. This book and audio set is not to be confused by another separate project by Kid Stuff a similarly titled "Yars' Revenge" a 12 inch (30.5 centimeters) record KSS-5033 with completely different story, no book and songs.
