Description:

Connor Westphal is a deaf woman who is a newspaper editor in Flat Skunk, a small town in what was once California Gold Country. And may still be: A local man claims to have found gold in an old mine, along with old bones he claims belongs to an ancestor. The small ensuing gold rush brings to town Connor's ex-lover, with his ex-wife, who gets murdered.
