Analysis of the economic, social and political problems and conflicts the settlers were confronted with and had to be solved, such as escape from Nazi-Germany, integration in a new social, work-related, climatic, cultural and language environment, problems with Zionist Institutions, conflicts with Arab neighbours, terrorist attempts, WW-II threat. The book issues a comprehensive documentary report about the years of crisis and its break-through. It bases on 120 interviews with the founders' families, a historical photo collection, and hundreds of original sources from Israeli and German archives.
