Description:
Each entry provides a note of format, when known, and date of publication. Surviving copies are listed up to a maximum of ten. In common with the practice of NB and the previous volumes of FB, this current work also lists items known to have existed from contemporary published or archival records, even if no copy has currently been located. Our earlier survey of French Vernacular Books incorporated a significant number of multilingual books. Where Latin is a significant component, these are also included in this volume but with the identification number allocated to the book in French Vernacular Books. This present volumes also contain an index of printers and booksellers that contains references to works in all four volumes. The index is arranged by country of activiy and alphabetically within each category.
