Description:
The book is the outcome of all the topics revised during the Diploma course in sustainable design and construction of the University and comprises texts by diverse academics. The fundamental idea behind the book was to provide the students of architecture with the innovative way of thinking and working towards a sustainable, habitable and integrated environment. The chapters of the book correspond to the 4 modules of the course: the first focuses on conservation and development; the second chapter examines those constructive conditions that will have the less impact in any urban context. A third section deals with bio-climate architecture, alternative construction systems and sustainable landscape architecture. Finally chapter four includes some designs for sustainable advanced constructions.
