Book Review Reviewed by Anne B. for ReadersFavorite.com Our story began in a small village in 1157. Three strangers stepped out of a portal (Animat channel) on a mission. The town’s people hide in fear, only a dog and an old priest approached them. They were searching for the dark fog and the white mist. The priest warned them to stay away from the fog and mist; bad things happen to those enveloped by the fog. Two of the men had experienced the dark fog previously, but the Supreme Master had not. He doubted the words of the priest. The fog surrounded him and tried to draw him deeply in. If it were not for his companions, The Supreme Ruler would not have had the will to survive. The mist came next. It was very different from the fog but just as mystical. They heard a baby cry from within the mist. The Supreme Ruler himself carried the child to the Animat Channel. So begins Immortal. Magna Kruger presents readers with a mystical tale filled with suspense, magic and the supernatural. The story centers around two families: the Pendragons and Darcanians. We journey with young Aidan to The Village of Shamrock, a medieval town untouched by time, the home of the Academy for the Spiritually Gifted. We stand by Aidan’s side as he learns to master the four elements. Kruger skillfully created a mystical world. The world she created is certainly beyond anything I could ever imagine. The school for the Spiritually Gifted is fascinating. The characters are well developed and multidimensional. I suspect Aidan could become as popular as Harry Potter. I can hardly wait for the next installment of this series.
