Description:

Collection of work by 22 poets (four are women) and 18 short story writers (two are women) born between 1912-67. The poetry is in the original Spanish and in English translation; the fiction, in translation only. Schematic three-page introduction by Reyes describes contemporary Bolivian writing as "realistic, sometimes abstract, but always down-to-earth." Notes on contributing authors contain limited bibliographic information.
