Itinerant exhibition of 5 monumental mural maps painted by artist Covarrubias (b. Mexico) and exhibited in the Golden Gate International Exhibition held on Treasure Island in San Francisco, California from 1939 to 1940. The murals depict the multiethnic composition, flora, fauna, vernacular architecture, economy and transportation means of the Pacific Ocean zone. The murals have never been exhibited outside the United States and on this occasion will be shown in several venues in México. Exhibition curated by Alfonso de Maria y Campos, present INAH director and consul of México in San Francisco.
