This volume is a collection of letters, interviews, conferences, speeches and articles delivered by Joaquín Balaguer from 1961 to 1965, mainly during his exile after the fall of Trujillo. Joaquín Balaguer (1906-2002) was one of the most important Dominican intellectuals of the 20th century. He was president of the Dominican Republic on six (6) occasions (1966-1978, 1986-1990, 1990-1994, and 1994-1996).
