Description:
This volume uses an interdisciplinary approach aimed at integrating text data with archaeological information to study the buildings and construction workers in the Mycenaean era (XIII-XIV century BC. Approx.), which was characterized by a completely original cut. The main problem which the author confronts is the lack of contemporary written sources specifically dedicated to building and organization of construction sites and direct information on the classification of buildings. His study therefore aims to deepen the knowledge of the types of architecture and construction workers mentioned in the Mycenaean texts, bridging the gap between the types of buildings and archaeological remains epigraphically noted, outlining the socio-economic structure assumed for the construction of the buildings of the high commission and for the organization and maintenance of the workforce.
