Papers from an international conference commemorating the 500th anniversary of the granting of Magdeburg Law to the city of Kiev. Included are welcoming speeches by Kiev mayor Oleksandr Omelchenko; the director of the Friedrich Ebert Foundation's office of cooperation in Ukraine, Winfried Schneider-Deters; and the director of the Magdeburg Law Municipal Reforms Foundation, Mykhailo Pozhyvanov.
