Description:
This book is a guide to how to create ecclesiastical embroidery. The emphasis is on the very formal items utilized by the Anglican Church. There are two samplers described as learning tools. There is some historical information included and some examples of work shown. However, this book focuses upon technique rather than providing designs. Though it is obviously a work of its time, the descriptions, explanations, and diagrams are very precise and would be useful to those interested in learning goldwork.
