Published within the framework of the project "History of War Prisoners in Central Kazakhstan" by the Scientific, Research, Historical and Education Center, this book studies the organization and functioning of the USSR NKVD-MIA camps, including conditions of detention of prisoners of war and internees in those camps. It also contains lists of Hungarian citizens who were imprisoned in camps on the territory of Kazakhstan. These lists are published for the first time and present photographs and unique material on the history of Hungarian war prisoners in Karaganda Oblast.
