Description:
OFF-line is a personal zine by Vincent Romano and Claire Cocco with various issues intertwining political and personal experiences. Contents include essays by both Claire and Vincent as well as a Reader's Forum where they respond to reader's letters. The inside cover-page of all issues features a photo of Vincent and Claire alongside their mission statement of forming a community centered on writing as an alternative to online forms of media. In Issue 39 Claire writes in "From corsets to baggy sweatshirts" shares her experiences teaching a women's history class for the first time. In "The measure of irascibility" Vincent describes some things that annoy him with anecdotes amounting to specific measurements. The zine also includes some vegan recipes from Claire and Vincent and a readers forum discussing topics such as anarchy, writing, and death. The cover has a drawing of two women with a twisting vine between them that has a key on its branch printed on purple paper. The back cover has a black and white photo of rocks and crystals in an arrowhead shape. — Nayla Delgado
