Author Iván Ruiz studied the work of photojournalists Guillermo Arias, Pedro Pardo, Fernando Brito, Mauricio Palos; visual artist Adela Goldbard and cineaste Alejandra Sánchez between 2006 and 2012, using iconographic elements in the representation of the criminal phenomenon of drug trafficking war and gender violence or "feminicidios" (femicides). The outcome of his research is now published in the present book.
