Fish on Fridays depicts the first recorded sighting of the Virgin Mary of Guadalupe and a farmer named Juan Diego (the first Indigenous Roman Catholic Saint) in sixteenth century Mexico. In this black and white comic, there are also a quotes from Robert Ellsberg from his book All Saints and the Book of Luke, stick figure illustrations, and a short paragraph about the cultural and political significance of Our Lady.
