"This is the Waitangi Tribunal's second report on claims ... in the Tauranga Moana district of the Western Bay of Plenty. The first report Te raupatu o Tauranga Moana : Report on the Tauranga confiscation claims, issued in August 2004 examined claims arising out of war, land confiscation, and other related matters, up to 1886. The present report, the result of a second stage of inquiry, covers the period from 1886 to 2006"--Introduction, p. 1. The panel consisted of the late Judge Richard Kearney (presiding), the Hon.
