There is a big difference between the food I’d like to cook and the food that I’ll actually cook. I enjoy being in the kitchen, but I don’t have a lot of time to spend there. And let’s get real, I’m not going to multiple stores to grocery shop. I need to keep things quick and easy. This is a collection of recipes that are in rotation on the dinner menu at my house, with a few that I developed just for this book. I hope that no matter your skill level or how busy you are, you can turn to any page and say, “I can do that!”. Cooking should be fun, and it doesn’t have to involve hard-to-come-by ingredients. If you cook with love in your heart for the people you care about, it doesn’t matter if it’s from scratch or a can. Y’all come fix you a plate!
