Description:

A catalog of Modern paintings and sculpture from 1931 with text on each of the painter or sculptor in the exhibition. The painters are : Willy Baumeister, Max Beckmann, Heinrick Campendonk, Otto Dix, George Grosz. Erich Heckel, Karl Hofer, Ernst Ludwig Kirchner, Paul Klee, Paul Kleinschmidt, Oskar Kokoschka, Franz Marc, Paula Modersohn-Becker, Johannes Molzahn, Otto Mueller, Emil Nolde, Max Pechstein, Christian Rohlfs, Oskar Schlemmer, Georg Schrimpf. The sculptors are: Ernst Barlach, Rudolf Belling, Ernesto De Fiori, Georg Kolbe, Oskar Schlemmer, Renee Sintenis. The booklet is 120 pages with 40 B&W illustrations. There is an inscription in the back that reads, "Fifteen hundred copies of this catalog were printed for the Trustees of the Museum of Modern Art, by Plandome Press of New York, March Twelfth, Nineteen Thirty-One"
