This is a charming, intimate history of Mexico, the Banco Nacional de Mexico and the exquisite building/palace in which the Bank was/is located. I am familiar with this book because I am the translator hired by the Bank in 1974 to translate Memorias into the English language. I recently learned via hearsay that this book was ghostwritten by another well-known Mexican author.
