Description:
This is more of a pamphlet than a book per se, but it is by Lee Oskar Lawrie (1877-1963). Lawrie spent nearly seven decades as and architectural sculptor. His most recognizable work is the Atlas, which he created a year or two after writing this booklet. The original measures 6 inches by 4 inches, and is only about 14 pages long. Lee Lawrie is perhaps the most prolific, and most obscure of all 20th Century American Artists. He taught at both Yale (1908-1918) and Harvard (1908-1910).
