This book was written by Gray Meek from Nicholls Ga. David Nettles (called Uncle Dave by many) is featured in Mr. Meek's book about the habits of rattlesnakes. After Dave's 8 year old son was bitten and died, Dave supposedly made a vow to hunt down and kill rattlers. The nature of the snake became second nature to Dave and his sons. One of his sons was known to keep the rattlers in boxes under his bed and sell them. It may not sound like it, but this is actually a very interesting read. Very hard to find book. David Nettles was my G.G. Grandfather. He has many Nettles relatives that are very proud ancestors. The author Gray Meek was also a mail carrier and wrote other articles and perhaps other books.
