on an action brought against her by Samuel Stockwell, alias Sam the Potter, an independent-parson, at the Court of King's-Bench on Monday the 22d of June, 1730 before the Right Honourable Sir Robert Raymond, for saying he was a rogue, a drunkard, a libertine, and a singer of baudy songs : with the preacher's defence of his character and the merry observations in the evidence given against him : to which is added the qualifications necessary to set up a raw independent p---n, with a pathetical letter from a gentleman, and the character of a novice.
