Ulixes and Magdelen had nine children: Esther, Gaston, Aulton, Arthur, Ella, Luceil, Austin, Melvin and Martha LeBlanc. Esther LeBlanc married Lee LaTour, son of Ozeme LaTour and Marie Guillory. Ozeme LaTour was the son of Homer A. LaTour and Helene Richard. Information regarding Helene Richard is vague; there is no record of her marriage to Homer A. LaTour, however, there is a record of her first marriage to Julien Bellard. When I started research on the family, all I knew was that the family was from Okmulgee County, Oklahoma. My father told me after my mother, Catherine LaTour died, that her family was from Opelousas and Toulouse. Ozeme LaTour and Marie Guillory had eleven children: Lee, Ophelia, E'villa, Laura, Clarence, Marie, Joseph, elestine, Adam, Ulysse, and Ethel. Lee LaTour, my grandfather, married Esther LeBlanc. Ophelia LaTour, my great-aunt married Joseph LeBlanc, brother of Ulixes LeBlanc, my great grandfather, two brothers married sister and brother. From their union, five )5) children were born: Catherine, Lorene, Rayfield, John Adam, and Charles. The family lived in Boynton, Muskogee County, Oklahoma. For some reason, uknown to me, Lee left or divorced Esther, moved to California, and joined the military. Esther moved to Muskogee, Muskogee County, Oklahoma were she meet Fred D. Wakefield. They produced one (1) child together, Mildred Wakefield. My mother, Catherine LaTour, daughter of Lee LaTour and Esther LeBlanc married my father, Osborne Thomas son of John Bennett Thomas and Viola Coursey on September 15, 1951. To this union, six (6) children were born: Patricia Ann, Osborne (fils), LaRita Viola, Kathy, Derrick Lee, and Harrison.

<a href=''http://www.geocities.com/latourcollection/leblanccharlottedeathrecord.jpg">LEBLANC, Charlotte d. 13 Sept. 1882 at age 54 yrs. at Plaquemine (Opel. He was most likely the father of William, Elizabeth and Zeolide as well. In the St. Landry Parish, LA 1860 census record, the children of Charlotte LeBlanc are listed with the surname of Guillory. The children probably should have been listed as Gallot and not Guillory according to the church and census records that I have found. It appears that some of the children of Charlotte LeBlanc and Julien Gallot took the surname of LeBlanc and the others took the surname of Gallot. GALLOT, Etienne (Julien & Charlotte LEBLANC ) m. 6 Jan. 1880 Sidonia McCARTHY (Opel. Ch.: v. 2, p. 522). Paulin and Julie had six children: Paulin, Paul, Jules, Louis, Theophile and Constance Carriere, their only daughter. Theophile Carriere married Odile Hollier, daughter of Theodule Hollier (Jr.) and Frances Garland. Theodule Hollier is the son of Theodule Hollier (Sr.) and Adelaide Meilleon. Information regarding Frances Garland is vague; record of her marriage to Theodule Hollier reads Frances Garland daughter of unknown Garland and unknown Hemley. Theodule and Frances were married December 10, 1868 in St. Landry Catholic Church in Opelousas, Louisiana. Only a picture of Frances remains but none of Theodule have been found. When we started research on the family, there were those who remembered Frances as "old Mom". Theodule and Frances had nine children: Charles, Arthur, "Buddy" Edward, Leonard, Clara, Mary Louise, Julia Hollier Carriere, Billy and Odile Hollier Carriere. Odile Hollier, my grandmother, married Theophile Carriere, son of Paulin Carriere and Julie Savoy. From this union 18 children were born, Joseph Melvin, Frances, Beatrice, Alma, Julia, Albertha, Charles Merritt, Theophile, Paul, Theodore, Lawrence, John, Helen, Eddie Randall, Margaret, Benjamin, Vincent and Mary Ruby. Julia Hollier, my great aunt, married Jessie Louis Carriere, nephew of Theophile Carriere. Julia Hollier Carriere and Odile Hollier Carriere, two sisters, married an uncle and his nephew. My paternal grandparents, William LeBlanc married Merante Pierre Auguste on December 18, 1879 in Opelousas, Louisiana. From their union, twelve children were born, Ulixes, Albert, William, Mary, Robert, Josephine, Joseph, Henry, Adam, Ella, Charles, and Stella. Merante Pierre Auguste LeBlanc died in December 1906. William LeBlanc remarried on June 27, 1907 to Sara Ford in Opelousas, Louisiana. There were no children born to William LeBlanc and Sara Ford. William LeBlanc died in Oklahoma circa 1937. The final chapter in the LeBlanc/Carriere/Hollier trilogy begins here. My father, Henry LeBlanc, son of William LeBlanc and Merante Pierre Auguste LeBlanc, married my mother, Beatrice Carriere, daughter of Theophile Carriere and Odile Hollier Carriere on December 26, 1917.
