Neil Catalin, a video entrepreneur, disappeared after watching "Pitfall", a Dick Powell potboiler that features a smoldering beauty, a hormone-driven private eye, and a murderously jealous lover. For Walker, the clues will be found somewhere among those black-and-white film images--only the truth he finds will be as real and ugly as the darkest recesses of a killer's mind.
